2016 Canadian Martial Artist Achievement Awards & Wushu Kung Fu Hall of Fame
Presented and organized by WushuOntario, the 2016 Canadian Martial Artist Achievement Awards & Wushu Kung Fu Hall of Fame took plac、e at Le Park Banquet Hall on 17th December 2016. This event was sanctioned by WushuCanada and aimed at recognizing great achievements in the fields of martial arts in Canada. The gala dinner was followed by demonstrations by the masters from the confederation and organizations.

Annual Tournament of Martial Arts Champions
The city of Toronto hosted the annual Tournament of Martial Arts Champions December 2nd and 3rd, 2016 at the Hershey Center Sport Zone. This tournament featured over 180 divisions divided over a wide variety of different martial arts forms and styles, including Kung Fu, Karate, and Korean styles. Competitors were also treated to free seminars and lessons by guest expert instructors, with private instruction available for those who had booked in advance. There were over $10,000 worth of prizes and awards up for grabs, and spectators were able to see the best Canada has to offer in martial arts skills!

Celebration of the Year of the Fire Cockerel
Cold Mountain Internal Arts and the Canadian Taijiquan Federation are sponsoring the Lunar New Year celebration event with 3 workshops on tai chi and qigong at 9:30, 11:00 and 2:00 p.m on 4th February at Calvin Presbyterian Church. The program will also be composed of martial arts and tai chi demonstrations in the afternoon as well as a Lion Dance by the Jing-mo Kung Fu Troupe.
